A perfect motorcycle itinerary for motorcycling enthusiasts is certainly the Linea d’Arni

A long road that crosses all the beautiful Apuan Alps where you can admire some splendid ones

landscapes over the whole of Versilia and beyond.

The road begins in the characteristic village of Seravezza after passing the Medici palace,

UNESCO heritage site, continue to the right and begin the real Arni line.

After about a kilometer we will find in front of a crossroads, we must continue on the right,

from here on you will begin to rise in altitude and immerse yourself in the mountains.

We recommend a detour along the road towards Passo Croce, a town at the foot of Mount Corchia, from

which you have a beautiful view over the Versilian coast and on clear days without haze

it is possible to see Corsica.

The road continues straight up to the Cipollaio tunnel, a long tunnel of more than a kilometer, after

that we find a crossroads with a road that continues on the right and one that continues straight and we

have two different possibilities.

We inform you that at the crossroads there is an old marble quarry that can be visited.

Descent from Massa – Motorcycle itinerary

Arrived at the crossroads adjacent to the old henraux quarry we can decide to go down towards the city

of massa turning right at the crossroads.

The road is also breathtaking on this side with the rocky walls on one side and the sea view

on the other, from which you can see both the port of Carrara and the Cinque Terre.

Once you arrive in Massa, just follow the road signs to return to Pietrasanta.

Descent from the Garfagnana

If at the crossroads near the old Henraux quarry you go straight on you will arrive in Garfagnana and you

will be able to return in Pietrasanta crossing the entire Serchio valley and passing through Lucca.

There are many lakes in the Garfagnana area and above all

the holy lake which is located right along the proposed itinerary.

Pontecosi Lake – Garfagnana

Pontecosi Lake is located in Garfagnana in the municipality of Pieve Fosciana in the province

of Lucca.

The lake has artificial origins created following the artificial damming of the Serchio river for

exploit hydroelectric energy.

The lake is shallow and not suitable for swimming, but it has a great faunal importance, welcoming

several animal species that populate the lake cyclically.

Several species of aquatic birds can be observed, even rare ones, but the masters of the lake are the

ducks.

The lake of Pontecosi has a crazy natural setting, it is surrounded by a dense forest with picnic areas

where be able to relax and take a break from the summer heat.

On the lake there are paths to explore the surrounding area and to observe the

lake from every angle.

On the surface of the lake there are aquatic plants that provide a home for the animals

living in the lake.

It offers a spectacle even in winter when the white snow envelops the shores of the lake.

Of particular beauty are the small footbridge of the devil built in the distant past

and the small church located on the shore of the lake.

La Garfagnana – Lake Pontecosi area

Garfagnana is located between the Apuan Alps and the Apennines in the province of Lucca.

It offers a great variety of landscapes ranging from the rocky walls of the Apuan Alps

to the splendid prairies on the lower side.

It has a large percentage of lakes all of artificial origin to exploit hydroelectric capacities.

In Garfagnana the protagonist is nature which with its uncontaminated woods offers home to many

animal species.

It is an area rich in history, the first settlements date back to Roman times.

Gramolazzo lake

The Gramolazzo lake is located in Garfagnana, it has the usual origin of the neighboring one

Vagli lake, both created following the construction of the dam designed by the company

SALT for the exploitation of water by producing electricity.

The lake is very pretty with the natural setting of the Apuan Alps that makes everything still

more magical.

At the lake of Vagli nature is the protagonist and it is the ideal place to seek shelter from the summer

heat thanks to the surrounding woods that keep the air fresh and clean all year round.

Gramolazzo lake activities

The activities that can be done on the lake are many, the lake in summer is suitable for swimming thanks

to small sections sandy with clear and warm water.

It is possible to rent canoes, pedal boats and it is also possible to practice sport fishing but it is

recommended to release the fish once they have been caught so as not to alter the biodiversity of the lake.

Along the entire lake of Gramolazzo there are trekking routes where you can immerse yourself in the flora

and in the fauna of the territory, it is possible to spot rare birds and small and harmless wild boars by now

accustomed in the human presence.

There are also several restaurants where you can taste typical Tuscan dishes with local products

with the beautiful lake in the background and the beautiful mountains as a frame.

The lake is also enchanting in the winter when the snow envelops the surrounding landscape and

freezes the clear waters of the lake.

Perfume of Tango – La Versiliana Festival

Perfume of Tango is a work that is part of the Versiliana Festival and will go into

stage on 7 August 2022 at the Teatro Grande della Versiliana from 21.30 to 23.00.

The show aims to tell all the different faces of the Tango through

different choreographies performed by more than 20 dancers.

The show is a fusion of dance music and words with which it will lead the audience to the

discovery of the wonderful art of Tango.

The songs can be original, or written by Ilaria Cipriani, suitable for the scene, or tracts

from the vast literature that describes the Tango.

The show is for a fee, children under the age of 4 enter for free but, if you are in

possession of numbered seats, children must be held in the arms of their parents.

Carers of people with disabilities in possession of a certificate of invadility of 100%

enter for free.

EmoX ballet – Perfume of Tango

Emox ballet is the theater company that will stage Perfume of Tango, was founded

by Beatrice Paoleschi in 2011.

Although it has a few years of activity, the EmoX ballet company has collected several awards:

was the winner of the Beads & Co Dance Award and the Miniature Festival in Belgrade.

During the show at the Gran Galà, Stelle di Danza received the choreographer of the year award.

Emox Balletto is a promising dance company and it will be a real pleasure to host them in the magnificent

Versiliana theater.
