Lake la Pania – Trout paradise

Lake La Pania is located in Gallicano and is nicknamed the paradise of trout for the many fish
swimming in its waters.
The lake is surrounded by nature and is a beautiful destination to reach with the family to spend one
day immersed in nature.
The stretch of water is home to an incredible variety of flora and fauna that make it the ideal place
for sport fishing with friends.
The lake is equipped for lunch on the shore with picnic tables and a bar for guests of the lake.
The naturalistic setting is breathtaking made up of the nearby mountains, we are in a unique area,
nestled between the Apuan Alps and the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, within the protected reason park.
The lake has its own opening hours and they also organize night fishing trips for most
adventurers.
Unfortunately, Lake La Pania was closed for most of the summer due to the deep water crisis
which has affected the entire country but from 20 August 2022 is ready to reopen its doors to all visitors e
fishermen!
Gallicano – Lake La Pania
Gallicano is a small town in the Garfagnana, it is a very old town like the whole area
of Garfagnana and the first historical evidence dates back to around 700 in one
parchment attesting to the purchase of the territory by a bishop.
The town is in fact rich in historic churches including: the church of San Jacopo, the church of San
Giovanni Battisti, the church of Santa Maria, the church of San Andrea and the church of Santa Lucia.
