Gramolazzo lake
The Gramolazzo lake is located in Garfagnana, it has the usual origin of the neighboring one
Vagli lake, both created following the construction of the dam designed by the company
SALT for the exploitation of water by producing electricity.
The lake is very pretty with the natural setting of the Apuan Alps that makes everything still
more magical.
At the lake of Vagli nature is the protagonist and it is the ideal place to seek shelter from the summer
heat thanks to the surrounding woods that keep the air fresh and clean all year round.
Gramolazzo lake activities
The activities that can be done on the lake are many, the lake in summer is suitable for swimming thanks
to small sections sandy with clear and warm water.
It is possible to rent canoes, pedal boats and it is also possible to practice sport fishing but it is
recommended to release the fish once they have been caught so as not to alter the biodiversity of the lake.
Along the entire lake of Gramolazzo there are trekking routes where you can immerse yourself in the flora
and in the fauna of the territory, it is possible to spot rare birds and small and harmless wild boars by now
accustomed in the human presence.
There are also several restaurants where you can taste typical Tuscan dishes with local products
with the beautiful lake in the background and the beautiful mountains as a frame.
The lake is also enchanting in the winter when the snow envelops the surrounding landscape and
freezes the clear waters of the lake.
