Be amazed by the beauty of nature by observing the Acquapendente waterfall

in the upper Versilia.

Versilia is not only sea and high fashion but has a great environmental heritage on its side

famous mountains: the Apuan Alps.

The Apuan Alps are famous for the extraction of marble but enchant with their landscapes with a

background an intense blue sea that mixes with the sky, unique views that can only be seen

in a few places in the world.

In Pruno, a small town in the upper Versilia, a small wonder hides a different majestic waterfall

from traditional waterfalls, the water in fact filters directly from the rock through the underlying aquifers.

The result is a rock wall from which gushes a stream of pure water that flows from the peaks of the

mountains.

The town – upper Versilia

The town of pruno is one of the jewels of Versilia set in the Apuan Alps and yes

overlooks the enchanting Monte Forato, a mountain with a characteristic central hole

eroded in the millennia from the wind.

The town seems suspended in time between stone houses and splendid uncontaminated valleys.

Pruno has just over 100 inhabitants and is the right place if you are looking for a bit of

calm.

In the town you can find two typical taverns where you can taste the typical Versilian cuisine.

Pruno is called the land of fairies because magical beings of whom we can roam this place

see the houses among the stones of the paths.

How to get to the waterfall

Pruno is located in the municipality of Stazzema, to reach it from Seravezza continue along the road that

runs alongside the Palazzo Mediceo and the Vezza river until you reach a crossroads where you will have

to follow the directions for Pruno, you will arrive at a parking lot at the foot of the village and from

there you will have to continue on foot.

Continuing along the streets of the town you will arrive at a downhill road that overlooks the Monte

forato, from there on, just follow the red paths to get to the waterfall.

The paths are in the woods and therefore appropriate clothing is required.

These paths are paths that serve to immerse yourself in nature, so take care of them

and do not leave waste or cigarettes in the environment, the animals of the forest will thank you.
