A walk through History in Sant’Anna di Stazzema is the ideal place
for a walk in nature and history!
Sant’Anna di Stazzema is a small town in the hills above Pietrasanta.
The town is famous for its tragic past, on 12 August 1945 the SS troops entered the town and exterminated 560 civilians.
In 2000 Sant’Anna became the National Park of Peace to keep the historical memory of country alive.
in Sant’Anna you can admire the museum of resistance and along the path you reach the ossuary, an imposing monument on wich the names and ages of the victims are engraved.
The ossuary overlooks a valley from which the view is wonderful.
